You will need a commercial invoice obtained from the seller of goods. If your goods can cross duty free into Canada, you will need to also have a NAFTA certificate (North American Free Trade Agreement Certificate) for your goods. Moto Transportation is a Canada Customs bonded carrier and can assist you with your in bond shipments. Before shipping we will require the commodity, piece count, shipper and consignee address and bonded warehouse sub location of where the goods are to be shipped in bond.
If your documentation is clear and concise, there are usually no problems. From time to time customs will inspect your shipment to ensure that your declaration of goods is accurate. This could possibly delay your shipment up to 24 hours depending on the inspection.
Yes depending on what state you are shipping in, the total truckload weight is generally reduced compared to Canadian provinces and territories.
